I was invited to shoot another R/C Fun Fly and for once we had a decent day with some blue sky, and light winds. The turn out was good, and the club's field was in excellent condition, and there was a lot of flying to shot, and that left me with the big task of sorting & editing so that the album wasn't overloaded & boring. Here's a cross section of what they flew.

Very nice set, I can imagine these must be very challenging to shoot.

I like #1 the best, it could pass as a photograph of the real thing!

This is from a series shot with it making a high speed pass at about waist level. A lot of pilots razzed him about being so low, but he's an accomplished aerobatics pilot.

This one was being set up by the organizer to show the "giant" side of some of the planes. The owner of both of these is in the white shirt & he was a top notch pilot, and put on some excellent 3D flying (aerobatics that real planes can't do or survive).

Thanks, it was a very fun event to shoot but with a lot of rather good shots to select from it's been a challenge keeping the album size reasonable. I had bought a 35-350L to try at this event (or the next one if it didn't arrive on time) and it proved to be the perfect choice for my needs. I shot my 1Ds2 with it & my 1D2n with the 100-400L, and next event I'll try the reverse, but I think last weekends package was ideal for my needs.
