He needs you to email before bidding as he is probably out of the country (most likely Nigeria) and will most likely sell you the lens for this price in exchange for helping him out with a banking matter.

Something is missing here. Don't understand the "acceptable" combined with that "buy it now" option.

There is a sucker born every minute and I guess my time was now. I bid on this as the "buy it now" and "email me first" link weren't loading. So at this point I'm hoping that
1) someone out bids me
2) ebay pulls the add as I did report it
3) it is a great deal and I will walk away with a story that others will envey
I'm guessing that 1 or 2 are a lot more likely than 3.
Should have come to POTN first tonight.

Seems to good to be true. I would be very careful
with this one. Buy it now price is way to low.

This is interesting, in Item details it states:

What is the condition of the item?
The seller has listed this item as Acceptable.

"Acceptable" could mean almost anything.
He does offer a 7 day return policy.

Did you really bid on this, before or after you saw this thread?

I just happen to run across it and thought "no way"

The guys wasnt a quarter of the cost of the lens. Not happening in my book.

This looks like a hi-jacked account. There is no way this eBay seller would sell such an expensive item for such a low price.

Yes, the seller has good reviews, the id is surely hijacked.

You can probably retract your bid. There's a link to bid retraction form on eBay.

Go to help on eBay and type 'bid retraction'.
