If I was to list the people that should have an 85L, you would be on the top with Tiff right below you.

I want one...put me on the list please.....

The question to ask yourself is why does the other person want the trade? Maybe the 5D is the camera to keep.

Both Perry and I have forsaken the 1DIII for the 5D.

Sorry...I can't agree here....I personally think the files out of the MKIII are much better than my 5D...but that is me....

Unless the 1DIII is that much better than the 1DII(which I hated), the 5D wins.

Down near the bottom. I'd have you up higher on the 14L or 24L list though. :-)

Thanks and can you also put me near the bottom for the 14L and 24L?

Love the colors Ingardj.

I use the 85 and 100 for most of my portrait work. I rarely use a zoom. I don't know why really....I just like the primes so much better.

tiff

i used to think the same way. then i met sandy puc and studied her methods. then i saw a few other top guys doing the same thing.

put your 70-200 f/2.8 ( or i like the 70-200 f/4) on your 5d for portraits and leave it there for a month. stand back 20-30 ft,use off camera flash and highspeed synch and watch whats going to happen

I would have thought both those lenses would work well for what I've seen you shoot.

I guess I should have added YMMV. :-) I did think you might chime in though.

^Thanks. :)

Yeah, all of the shots are great, great simplicity in the last three but very beautiful. The church shot is my favourite also.
