Jon, looks like you lost your spot on the bed! :)

Ed, what the heck is that?

You guys all getting lenses - I couldn't find one so I got a CP-E4 and another 580 EXII instead... :)

I agree, I'm not usually crazy about "faking" round-edged images, but it seems to work well in concert with Joanie's post work. The only thing slightly off-putting, is that the images are way too sharp to be the old rounded-edge images I have in my drawer. :P

Thanks brett :)

One from today, i have posted it elsewhere but i want to put it in here too, only the 5d could have done this in my opinion- it is a camera that is a joy to use.

Hey all. Been away for awhile working on other things, but just recently sat down to try some new things and work on my PP with a few older shots. I'm really working to create a film-like feel to images that are 100% digital.

For those of you that are survivors from the days of 35mm and medium format film, or if you still shoot it, I'd love to hear by how far I missed the mark. Are some shots a lot closer than others? Not just the grain either...colors, contrast, DR, etc. I definitely tried a lot of different things, and I used some new to me photoshop features.

Admittedly, the grain on some is a bit heavy, and too coarse for my liking as well. Others I feel I came pretty close. Forget the wide range of subject matter if you can...

Thanks, ill take wow :)
Only some minor sharpening as far as PP other than that its pretty much straight out of the camera. I used a 17-40L a trusty companion of some 3 years; i also used a colorcombo CPL from Singh Ray and a 3 stop reverse grad.
