Bruce. :) All three iterations.

I got my 5D about a month before iteration two was wrapping up, and I know I read all of #2 and most of #1, and definitely all of this (third) iteration.

Evening All...

Blew the dust off my 5D and took it out to a local Ghost Town attraction thing:

Yeah..I hear ya..I don't think that going to college that long is for me, other people, like you, can handle it..and that is why we have super smart people in the world :D

Do whatever you're passionate about and don't let anyone put you down. :)

My parents don't know this, but I'd secretly love to make a career out of photography. The math Honours year I undertook last year was the most stressful ten months of my life. Sleeping in the office was a regular occurrence and I almost forgot what it was like to shower. Social life = no existent. In the end I got into a Ph.D, but now I'm not sure if I wanna do it. Academic life in science is too damn stressful. Unfortunately though, I've got somewhat pushy parents so I don't have an independent choice in the matter. On the other hand, if you're free to choose your career path, I envy you!

There's a deeper meaning behind this photo..Even though it looks like a snapshot.

One more from today's Ghost Town outing .. a little five-layer manual exposure blend.
(I think I can do a little more with it but IMO, it didn't turn out too bad)

IMAGE: http://jcbeckman.zenfolio.com/img/v4/p104535084-4.jpg
(IMO, it looks much better bigger and over black on the website)

Dude. This is the WRONG thread to ask if you should buy gear or a ring. Please see the following thread. The votes were overwhelming ;)

Dang! My parents aren't pushy. They were at first but they realized I'm an individual, i'm nit like them so I broke away from their ideas. My dad recently told me "if you find a job the you absolutely love, you'll never work a day in your life" so now I'm just working on an arts degree.. Working at night for my dad who has his own business and doing some photography. All in all I just want to live a happy, peaceful life :p. But props to you for going to school... I wish I were like that, but I guess that's what makes us all different

Great shot, thanks for sharing. Or, to paraphrase Robert Browning,
