Has anyone else notice the $400 increased of the 5D over at Adorama? Yikes.

Glad I bought mine when it was cheapola :)

I've got to say, this is the first time I have witnessed a used DSLR actually go up in price as it gets older.
@ k.lee, Nice shot man. Reminds me of Alfred Hitchcocks "The Birds" which coincidentally I just watched again this past Sunday. ;)

The Captain and crew finally got their stuff together, now if we can only remember where we left it.

Yeah, me neither. :p

I just have a feeling he may have asked to have a larger avatar (like some mods have), and been awarded with what we see currently. Which to me is quite funny, if true.

So true. Used prices when I was shopping a year ago hovered around $1000-1100 (lightly used), now $1100 is considered a killer deal. Refurbs were $1399 when I bought, now they're $1699...a year later. That's remarkable for any piece of electronic technology.

I noticed that when I was recommending a refurb to someone. I paid $1399 for mine one year ago, and at the time it had dropped from $1499...now they're $1699!

I never knew them to be $1299 (for a $400 increase); is that what you paid?

Oops. Yeah. You're right. I had $100 bucks sitting in my paypal account when I ordered mine. The original invoice says $1399.

$300 still is a large increase for something that just gained another year in old age. Pretty honored at the same time :)

Kelvin, where in Vancouver are you? I was in PoCo for a few years and we used to have a bazillion crows every morning and every evening flying around our place and landing in the trees. Now I'm in South Surrey (where we have very few trees) and every morning I see the a murder of a couple thousand fly over about 7:00 am. I know there's another that hangs around BCIT as well.

There's a lot of 5D users from that area. I'm originally from Surrey as well. 15 Years born and raised till I moved to California. I moved almost 6 years ago and I heard since then it's gangland. Glad I got out when i Did

Just so nobody thinks they're going crazy, I reworked that powerhouse exposure blend and replaced it on my website (which changed the image linked here) so it's now much brighter than it was...

Ignore the too dark comments as they're now irrelevant (I think...) :D
