So, a few of us met in Seattle yesterday. Connor, Tonylong, thatkatmat (former 5D now 5DII) and Chris (7D) and did a little shooting. Connor's posted a few already and the skateboarder was one of mine.

Here's a few more:

That shot gives me vertigo. :) You really make me want a fisheye. Isn't there something cheaper, manual focus I could get? The 15FE is too expensive for something I'll probably rarely use.
Very nice angle and composition. Love it and the cityscape is perfectly exposed.

Man, I would have loved to have been there, just to meet some POTN people and do some shooting, although I don't think Matt likes me much.

When are y'all coming to Cleveland? I got a huge loft that would make a great studio.

Yeah, I know about kids and expensive electronics. The two rarely mix well. I was just ribbin' ya anyway. :)

That Seattle skyline shot is a money shot. Nicely done.

Pulled the 5dc today in the mist/rain with my 70-200 f/2.8IS. Off of the turf at a soccer field this was taken mid field.

I was quite suprised how well it tracked using AI Servo using center point focus. Distance and dof helped alot I suppose.

Here's my niece drilling the ball into her opponents chest (ouch!! person right of soccer ball)

I'm planning on getting a 1dmkIII in a month or two but today I was very suprised in the outcome. I almost landed every shot using center point focus!! the 4 fps is a limitation since I missed some split second action but nonetheless I was impressed with the oldie 5dc.

f/4.5, 1/800
