I haven't done anything like this in about 30 years, but this is how I think it should work.

- client covers your fees that you normally charge for an event like this.
- that includes any assistants or seconds that you normally have with you (ha Geno)
- client covers all expenses for your party, including assistants.
- this covers air/travel, hotel, cabs/transportation, etc. All out of pocket expenses

You may have to pay your own food and livelihood, except at the reception, that usually is provided for you.

Things to consider, that might eat into your fee, that was charged.

- you have all the lighting required for an event at this location?
- you have all the cameras/lenses for an event at this location? (you probably do)
- you have all the cases and bags to safely transport all your equipment.
- you have enough batteries, etc, to last the entire event, you may not have the ability to recharge.
- the type of pictures you will take, PJ style or big lighted posed event style, will determine the equipment you will need.

Anyways, a meeting with the client to determine what their expectations are, and what they envision that they will be paying. It's best to get on the same page from the start.

I've done a few destination weddings. Problem is, the destination was Burnaby. :)
