Heres a few from the big easy. Hi, Air... Good shots, and the weather has been great (NOLA is my hometown). Hope your trip was as successful as your photos. Next time you are in town, give me a call, I am in the phone book. Joe [/QUOTE]

Joe It was pretty crappy some of the time we were there. Sunday was beautiful but Monday cold and LOTTSA rain, very windy. It was cold the rest of the week until Thursday and Friday and just beautiful yesterday but we came home yesterday. I will definitely look you up next time we get down there. Thanks for the offer. Its a BEAUTIFUL city with incredible food.

It's okay to direct them, but touching by a guy gets into "creepy guy with a camera" territory, and I agree with him. I've personally seen a guy stroke a girl's hair with the excuse of "fixing" it, adjust her top, etc. and it looked pervy. i always ask. and i think zack was talking about the body areas. Mike

And photographers are eager to touch young girls with their hands, put down a bretelle and may be get to know her closer. There is even a certain competition between the photographers - who managed to take pictures of more beautiful girls, and whose pictures are sexier. To persuade her to pose naked requires mastery not everyone has. Photography has become a way of communication between young people, a good reason to get to know each other and socializing with obvious sexual overtones. I ordered a 17-40 from mpixs here on potn. He has some good feedback so I felt fine. Sent me a PM regarding my WTB post. I bought it on friday, said he'd ship it saturday. I got the UPS tracking number from him but it is still "unavailable". I'm getting a bit scared, maybe I'm just paranoid though. Call me crazy, but anytime I send a few $100 to some guy on the internet, it does get me a bit apprehensive. 5DII | 17-40L | 35L | 85L II | 50 1.8 | 430EX | flickr

If he shipped it on Sat., it probably hasn't gone anywhere yet, as most of UPS is a M-F operation. Check the tracking info again on Mon. evening and see what you get. I do understand your anxiety though...I bought all my gear, except the G9 on the forum here, and had nothing but good luck, but there is so much scamming going on you always wonder just a little bit. Hope it works out for you! Michael Wells

Also, a tracking number may have been issued, but unless the package was picked up, and, tracked (again, I was told that there is no movement on a week-end), you will get the unavailable message. Maybe I am being too optimistic, but I think you are going to be okay. Sometime tomorrow (Monday) try the number again, and hopefully the message will say that it is in transit.

Hope it works out for you! Thanks. I forgot about that. I live in PA and he is shipping from NY. The UPS lady told him it'd be here Tuesday. I guess I'll just check tomorrow when I get back from school. Good luck, Joe That gives me a bit of hope again haha. As I said above, I forgot UPS doesn't pick up on Saturdays.
