Thanks everyone. The processing started as a combination of two Photoshop actions, some 'vintage' one that I found on Flickr (Don't know the link any more I'm afraid) and the TRA Lux Hard action. I then tweaked them a little, added a few more adjustment layers of my own and voila.

Hey guys. Some of you may remember, but I came in here with concern about my 17-40 purchase and how the UPS tracking code wouldn't work. Most of you just said wait until today to react...

Well, it was shipped Saturday (according to the seller) and I've been trying to track it since then. I tried it again today and it is still "unavailable"... Should I be concerned?

He said he was shipping from NY. I live in PA. He told me the UPS person told him it'd be at my door by tomorrow. It is just a bit scary that the code isn't working.

I've had both UPS and Fedex not update their site until after I've received the package. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I'm bored at work, so I did some research on this guy. He seems legit. He's sold quite a bit of stuff on POTN. I wouldn't worry.

If it doesn't work out, PM me...I have information you might want. ;)

If he took it to a UPS contractor, rather than a UPS depot. it may be that they didnt get the information into the system over the weekend.

Model and pose looks good. The two things that I find distracting with this image though are the "dirt" on the seamless by her feet and the faint shadow. If the shadow was a bit more defined, I think it might have looked better. Otherwise, I would've probably tried to eliminate it with a soft light to the right of the model facing the background But, I'm no expert at this. Those are just my opinions so take it with a grain of salt.

Thanks for the comment. The faint shadow is done on purpose. I had a lot of troubles to make it more defined. So any advice to do so is appreciated. Now I just used an open reflector, about 1 stop harder than the main light (a 1m x 50cm softbox). Maybe a honeycomb would help?

And I was hoping nobody would notice the dirt ;) Actually it's my fault by walking over the seamless with boots while adjusting the lights. Next time, I'll wear slippers

You can make it more defined by making the light source more specular which can be achieved either by moving the light further away from the subject or using a slightly smaller light (both techniques effectively do the same thing). Yeah, don't worry about the dirt...nothing that some quick PP can't fix :D

if he dropped it off on a saturday (and especially if he dropped it off at the ups store), it might not be picked up until tonite and might not make it into the system until today.
