As long as you appreciate the fact that you are fortunate enough to have quite an impressive set of equipment at such a young age, you'll be fine.

Couldn't agree more, I'm extremely fortunate for what I own and how supportive my parents are. The majority of the gear was bought by fully by me, though they did help with the 85L and my first camera quite a bit. Needless to say, it is really my only place I put money into or my gifts are aimed at. Couldn't, in a million years, ask for more fantastic parents. I'm also extremely fortunate in that aspect.

Once again, nothing real special here. Just screwing around with the 17-40 and trying to learn more of a gritty and ominous PP skill...

Holy Undies? j/k

You youngins' are so lucky, when I was your age our cell phones were still brick sized and didn't have cameras and just a few years before pagers were all the rage (I'll be turning 29 in June).

I'm sure you can imagine me in a nice teddy and a g-string... :p

Now that cracked me up! You should post the before and after in Tony's RAW processing thread.

I'm glad I could get a laugh out of you Geno. I actually edited that post, I blew out the background after I posted the original to make it more white. The original is on my flickr.

Wow Geno, I'm turning 25 this year, and I thought I was old. That's some old underwear

Hell, I might as well join in: Happy Birthday Matt! :)
So now we have two 17 year-olds whose parents are supportive of their photography. My dad helped me quite a bit back in the day, although he didn't really understand my obsession with it. That was a lot of years ago, though, and he's no longer with us.

And for you kids thinking you're old at 25 or whatever: I'm 42. I feel ancient already. Imagine when I'm as old as Geno. :p
