Question for macro users.....

I'm thinking on adding a macro to do very close up shots...What is the closes macro to the 135L or 85L IQ ?

TIA

I own a 5D Mark I, which is great for portraits. But when it comes to sports, the 3 fps are a pain... I love the full frame sensor, but sometimes a crop sensor camera would be great too... (I also have a 350D, but I only use that at work. And you just can't compare it to the 5D or 1D)

What do you guys think? Would a 1D Mark II be good addition? The price on these babies are great at the moment

I think you have to look into the Sigma 150mm macro.. It gives super smooth background blur..

The new 100L is getting some good feedback -- if you contemplate using it handheld the IS seems to be quite effective. Of course f/2.8 isn't the same as f/1.2, but when shooting closeups DOF is super narrow anyway:)! I haven't used it myself and can't comment on the overall IQ, but you might want to peruse the lens thread.

It's been a few days since I took my camera out. Went on a walk through a small state park near my house. There are still more shots but I'm just too tired right now. (going to bed 7 this morning then getting up before noon was extremely fun)
