Not my car. Taken with Sigma 70-200 @ 126, f/2.8, ISO800, 1/80th. No processing other than USM.

One of the best looking cars of all time IMO. Would someone please show this picture to Chris Bangle?

That's HDR done right sir!

thanks. it's manual blending. Not HDR. I could never achieve good results from HDR so I gave it up long time ago.

The 70-200 2.8 is a great portrait lens...now I want one!

I have finished going through the animal photos and below are a few. I used 5D + 70-200/4IS + 1.4x TC for all of them.

There were only a couple of times in the whole month that I missed not having a longer lens. Considering how light and compact this kit is that sacrifice definitely felt worth it. It would have been different if it had been a pure photography trip though - now I traveled with someone who's not really into photography (but has a never ending patience, fortunately...).

Hmmm... I see now that some of them could have taken a bit of sharpening, but I'm too tired to redo them now.

Helena,

Quite different from your usual stuff, aren't they? :) You did well!

What's with the Bighorns? They almost look almost.

Thank you Geno and Tiffany! It was fun to photograph nature and landscapes for a change. It's too bad that I didn't get a chance to practice before we left, but I'm not unhappy with the results. Sure, they could have been better, but this is the best I can do now (hope to improve over time :) ), and that is all I demand of myself. I'll post more photos asap.

The two bighorns had a half-hearted fight. Just knocking their heads together lightly. It was funny to watch.

hahaha, every time helena posts a series, i always get confused by her numbering system. it took me a couple seconds to figure out why i didn't see the other pronghorn deer, the two hidden marmots, and the three other bison in the photos.

 Sorry about that! At the forum where I used to hang out (before I got the DSLR last year) people always asked for numbering, so that it'd be easier to know which photo comments were meant for, so I continued doing it here.

I see what you mean though, especially in this latest post where the format is just

3 bla bla bla:

I'll try and remember to make the numbering more clear in future. Maybe use #, like they do in USA.
