Nice shots-esp. the Bison...Great shot! The Pronghorn is actually an Antelope, not a deer. Hope you'll post more when you're rested! Thank you! I appreciate it. I have changed the name on my Flickr now. tonylong wrote in post #8727587 Helena, that prancing buffalo shot is so cool, congrats for "capturing the moment"! All those shots are great in fact -- were you close enought to fill the frame, or did you need to do much cropping? Around here I'm fortunate to get decently close to critters with a 100-400 and a 1.4x TC, so if you got close with the 70-200, well, I'm envious! You were in some fantastic locations, congrats on your wonderful vacation!!! Thank you very much Tony! Yes, we were fortunate to get very close to the animals. Most of the photos I posted have been cropped very little. When 70-200 + 1.4x TC wasn't enough most of the time I would have needed a lot more (like when two bald eagles kept circling us), so I'm very happy with the compromise. It would have been different if it had been a dedicated wildlife photography trip, but this was a "holiday with my fiancé and some photography too".
