It is either a Blue Bottle fly or a Longlegged Fly

Definitely NOT a fly. I'm guessing it is in the family of Cuckoo wasps. They tend to be metallic and green in color. I suspect that the large tibial features will be the biggest identifying factor in this creature.

My best guess would be that Drevils is right. A Cuckoo wasp. They have great colors.
