The second image is by far better than the first, even though technically, it's fine. The first image scared me for the rest. With the bride being a large woman, you need to consider posing her slightly behind the groom as that helps. The wide angle lens did not help for that one. Whereas the second one was better. I know most brides are happy to see themselves as the star of the shot, but for us looking, it doesn't flatter her much.

Otherwise, the portraits are beautiful. Color and contrast are nicely done.

Thanks Suzy. I was wondering if the large bride was hurting me for comments...;)

In this case, as you know from experience, this was a must have shot from the Bride. So I took it.....she is happy with it, but I would have liked to try something else.

Thanks for the comments! I value your opinion and love your work.

Thanks, Jon, as I am not that good, I will just smile and feel flattered. I am one to believe, "If the Bride likes it, who am I?" That has helped me keep clients many times.

The little girls got some beautiful portraits here. Don't be shy about getting parents to have framed pictures from you. They are keepers for sure. I would love to get some good shots of my own sons in my garden, but they hate being photographed these days.

Nice shots! I really like the panoramic with the candle and desaturated pp. Good job!

You got some beautiful shots of the girls:) I know it must be more difficult shooting a larger woman, Plus I would imagine a lot of it would depend on how she felt about her self. So the first one def doesnt work to flatter her, but if she likes it you did what you were supposed to.

In the first one, I think the angle is working against you as well as the bride's size. It looks below eye-level. I don't know if it really is, but it has a distorted feel to it. Something that would help is NOT having them wrap their arms around each other - this usually doesn't look good on any size. That goes for #1 and #2. You could have posed the groom holding her to break up her body and block some areas and as said, pose her slightly behind him as well.

For the photos of the girls - they all seem cool and have a slight green/blue tint to them - I assume due to white balance. The last seems to have a flash change as well.
