Oh, right.

The vets (note: plural) say she looks very good. Hale got high marks all around. They're taking "pics" of her arm now, I'll pick her up around 4.

Great news Dan, give the wee girl (and her big bro) a skritch from me, would ya? :D

Great news on Hale Dan! Hug her and Kona for me ;-)a

Tell me if I spam too much, but as I'll only upload the shots of the hike when I'm through, I have to share them before ;-)a And I love this place so much...

First shot is in the direction of the glaciers. That's where we are heading...

Second shows you the valley below us. So from that point, we walked for 2.5 hours to the right (right to the end of the valley), went down and walked back to the village that you can see at the far left (at the other end of the valley). The hike was a total of about 25km...

I have two photos in my office that even I cringe when I look at them. They were taken with my very first digital Nikon at a whopping 1mp. But both pics have a lot of meaning to me so I like pooking at them even though they are total carp.

Possibly the one photo that means the most to me is this one. It's the only picture I have of my father and it is a poor scan of a slide taken in 1946. Yeah, that's me in the picture...

Beautiful shots Deeds. Yes, the trail looks pretty doable, but for those of us near sea level, the breathing of that tissue thin air at that altitude would do me in on even the easiest of trails. Unless I could come for, oh say a month or two and get acclimated.:D

Thank you Chief *bows*

BTW, I've just noticed your signature  Though you've probably had it for a while...

And now, I'm going to bed. Tomorrow, you'll see quartz and more mountain landscapes (if I get time to PP a few shots...). Now, it's off to bed!

I was thinking that it is interesting, that there, and places in the American west, you can see where you are going. What I mean is here where I am most places are forested so you can only see a tiny bit of trail ahead of you. Every bend conceals what is ahead.

Ahhh, time to go home.

But...before I forget...on pixelating...

Skinit finally got skins big enough for my Studio 17" laptop so I had this shot done, sent in a full resolution file and still the tree is badly pixelated, but, for what I'm using it for I really like it. What I don't like is Dell changed their laptop covers so when the lid is open whoever is in front of you can read Dell right side up and that emblem is not centered on the cover. Therefore the skin cut out is such, you have to mount the picture so it too is rightside up to the person standing infront of you. So it is upside down to me when the lid is closed. Shot works great for a laptop skin if I do say so myself, though.
