Our hotel is the blue one in the middle here (in Arbroath, Scotland)

I've been playing with panorama shots this holiday, and this one was made up of 16 photos with the 135L

Here's a link for the full sized one (beware - 27Mb and 9600px wide)

VERY impressive, Pete...

I can smell the Fish'n'Chips all the way here, and you have a Mr Whippy by the main entrance too....top it all off with a 99 & a flake...

We had our fish and chips tonight at Anstruther. Voted Britain's best fish and chips for several years in a row. It lived up to our high expectations as we ate them sat on a bench overlooking the harbour.

Nope. I didn't bring my tripod this time. Unfortunately, our room faces away from the harbour...

Ahhh, been years since I had fish'n'chips from there...well worth the money though...but it was drizzling when I was there, so no sitting on a bench to look at the harbour for moi...

Funnily enough, we were chased around by some pretty nasty showers today. We managed to avoid the rain while we were eating though.

My Anstruther photos are on my G9 and I can't place my card reader right now, so those may take some time to upload.

I just used a healthy overlap. CS3 managed to stitch the photo fairly well, regardless of any horizontal alignment problems.

There are faults in the stitching in this one though, which may be down to the boats moving between exposures. Not much I can do about that.

Hey...I just wanted to show you a (I think) revolutionary type of templates that I just developed.

First I developed a set of 25 templates (in 3 sizes, 30x30, 14x11 & 10x8 ). I call them the Classic White set. Nothing revolutionary so far. Though they are a nice set of templates. This is just one example...there are all sorts of layouts in the set.

The cool part is what you can do with them.

First you upload 1 of the templates, make a duplicate of it so you aren't working on your template and close the original.

Looks like this is photoshop:

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

Next you add your photos, by copy/pasting them onto the layers that say "your photo here"
IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

Next you have the choice of the original "classic white" overlay

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

OR by turning on the eyeball next to the layer, the optional black:

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: NOT FOUND | MIME changed to 'image/png' | Redirected to error image by ZENFOLIO PROTECTED

now here's the extra cool part!!

If you don't want to use either the white or black, I've included another layer where you can put your own texture (I've used one of my papers I made).

You just put it on the layer that says "your texture here" and the template does the rest. It's a 1 sec. copy/paste and you're done

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

OR the additional cool option....

say you don't have a texture but like some of your pattern stamps in photo shop.

You can simply click on the stamp you like...choose a huge brush and brush the whole layer that says "your texture here" and the template makes sure the photos aren't covered!
here's an example with a random pattern of mine but you can use any of yours.

IMAGE NOT FOUND
HTTP response: 404 | MIME changed to 'text/html' | Byte size: ZERO

So what does this mean? A set with 25 different templates can actually be hundreds of different templates at no additional cost.

It took me less that three minutes to put my photos in and do the two optional textures. So there's ease of use too.

What do you think? I'm going to market these on my new website once it's done.

That is cool Lisa. I think you may have just discovered another business for yourself.

Nice photos Pete.

Off to work. Have a good night everyone.

Back from my wonderful week in the alps. We had great weather and did some beautiful hikes. I did my longest hike ever.... 8.5hrs walking time, 25km. It was incredibly beautiful!

I am now going to bed, but not without posting a first shot ;-)a
