I just watched last night's Jay Leno show that my DVR recorded. Drew Barrymore was his guest. What the hell is wrong with her face?!? Her mouth is way over on the right side of her face. It looked bizarre. Did she have some really screwed up plastic surgery done?

I don't think I've ever iced my spine. That doesn't sound too comfortable.

It feels SO good if you have a bulged disk. I have torn cartalidge in a shoulder and icing that is heavenly.

Hi Lonnie. Icing my spine and gearing up for a ride over here.

I've ices a lot of stuff but never my spine. Does not sound fun.

Well.... I managed to collect the cat (with only a few scratches ... He's weaponized on all fours) And we dropped him off at animal control, since the people we suspect own the cat have denied any ownership of the animal.

Pending quarantine, he's probably adoptable... Just don't put him around other cats. Yeah, he's quarantined, now because he scratched me.

For those of you who are my friends on Facebook, I shared the video Christine took of the drama we had this morning.

The home check for Layla was PERFECT. There is not one thing I would change about the family who adopted her. When we got there tonight, Layla was TOTALLY in her element, and unbelievably happy.

She slept on the bed with her new mom and dad last night, and N told me how she was rubbing Layla's ears as she was falling asleep, and every time she would stop petting, Layla would nudge her head back under N's hand. N finally moved her hand up and away so she could fall asleep, so Layla scooched all the way up and found her hand again, and that's where she slept all night. *grin*

She was SO happy, and the family is SO perfect for her. I couldn't be happier. They let me have some time alone with her to say goodbye, and she gave me so much love with just a look and a nudge... what an amazing dog. And she went to an amazing family.

I cried all the way home, but these are happy tears. Yes, I'm going to miss my girl. Immensely. But I am so incredibly happy for her. She deserves only the best, and she has it with them.

*sigh* I'm emotionally beat, but oh so so happy.

There are some near-Basset breeds - Petit Basset Griffon Vendine, for one
