A great day at the Midland Game and Country Sports Fair.

I am really weakening on the no puppy till I retire and may start looking for an Irish Water Spaniel litter. A friend of mine had one many years ago and they are really fabulous looking dogs with a great temperament and they work well for rough shooting, picking up and wild-fowling.

Here are a few.

Nice dogs! And an Irish Water Spaniel will go great with the hair dresser persona when riding in the car :{)#

BONUS.... They don't shed so I get to hone my scissors skills as well....

Speaking of which do you reckon the bifurcated earlobe on this happy chappy was the result of a tragic barbering incident so he though. "What the heck, I may as well go the whole way now"

love the springer shots especially! :)

I've read about irish water spaniels Neil. They are supposed to be incredibly smart, excellent dogs. You don't see them much around here.

Hale is built so much like this dog. Kona on the other hand is tall/lanky like the IWS.

Did I mention this is a gorgeous photo?? Because it is. Gorgeous!

I always wondered what people like that do to make a living?

It's 150 high. That's what I typically use. That's the same size as my last one.

Neil that set was great. The birds were beautiful. The guns were larger than the dudes shooting them

Ok, I succumbed to the peer pressure and increased it to 175. It's tall/narrow so it works. :D

The big guns were antique 4 Gauge Black Powder Flintlocks. A few really big guys had a real problem with them.
