It's not like they have been bad (definitely not like before) but I've only posted one thread over there and had Mo take it down. I just don't feel comfortable.

These guys look to be using huge rifles but they are in fact very low powered air rifles which they shoot with incredible accuracy.

Do you guys think that's a dumb gift? I'm finding I have to be "creative" this year. Stupid idea? Fantistic gift if I am on your list cfpackerfan wrote in post #8673812 Marian and Colton just brought me warm buttery theater popcorn with a box of milkduds to go along with. That was nice of them to think of you,I guess they were too busy to eat it. CrazieCricket wrote in post #8673979 Not sure I should say anything or not. As I will be the odd one out here. My parents and several of my friends parents were very strict. Just made us want to do what we weren't suppose to that much more. So, with my kids, I did lay out some ground rules, but for the most part was fairly lenient. They couldn't just go do whatever they wanted. They did have to ask me and we would discuss it. Sometimes I would say no, but most often it was yes. They never ended up in trouble and I felt comfortable that if they got drunk or in trouble that they would feel okay about calling me for help. With my parents, I wouldn't of called them had I been in trouble, for any amount of money if you kwim? I may have been wrong in how I raised my kids, but, I know how I reacted to strict parents . If the kids really want to do something they shouldn't, they will, and wouldn't you rather know about it and be able to talk to them about it rather than have them hide it? I dunno just my 2 cents. ![]() There are many schools of thought and i believe many ways work.I agree with what you did and you sound like a good parent. You got them to 18 alive, you pass. Strict is not bad, strict without understanding or guidance makes wild childs. Watchya tryin' to hide? I wanna see I caught up but didn't quote everyone. Thanks for the anniversary wishes. I really should have asked one of them yesterday, but I didn't, so if any of you guys know please tell me. What is that big ring attached to the sight for? Between shots they occasionally turned it by what looked like the smallest of degrees. It has to be a giant adjustment knob for the elevation rectal in the scope. If they indeed are very low power there will be substantial arch in the pellets travel which requires moving the rectal up or down. The giant knob would make the very easy and accurate though it seems odd. Are they very low power, or are they high power air guns, just low power compared to fire arms? The high power air guns are relatively flat shooting with drop off at the end of the pellets range. Do whats right HERE

I was still trying to figure out what that was, cute. What is with the string lines? I enjoy precision shooting but the air gunners take it to a whole new level. Do whats right HERE
