Renaissance Fairs are on the order of Disney World or Six Flags. They're basically long-running entertainment and there really isn't anything "behind the scenes" to offer, nor is there really anywhere other than in the general viewing areas that a mundane wouldn't get in the way or at least stick out like a sore thumb amidst the Rennies.

I know a girl that used to be a live in Ren Fester, aparently behind the scenes are odd:lol:

Oh! He was talking about the reticle! Suddenly things become more clear.

so here I am making fun of someone's spelling, and it turns out I have no idea what I'm talking about either (no surprise to some here).

Thank you for clarifying this, Jon.

Well, in a sense. But not media-worthy. Trust me.

BTW - we're dancing at MRF Oct. 17-18 for Scottish Weekend.

Yep - been a regular feature there since the late '80s or early '90s, I forget which. Anyhow - most of the time they've been in Crownsville. BTW - heard they're looking to move? One or two of the possible sites are near Frederick.

Our early October trip to DC has been canceled :( I haven't found anyone to replace the staff I fired yet, thought I had and it turns out he has a suspended license and my carrier won't insure him once he gets his back either way, so I am still on the look out. We can't take a trip without another staff, so we've pushed it into November with a quick one night trip to Hershey...where's Diane?

The new laptop has a fun little video camera program that Madi got a kick out of.

Oh, it's stable. I have no problem with that.

But, it's become bloatware! Major bloatage. Way too slow to load any more. Even Photoshop loads faster than Firefox on this computer, and that's just wrong. (And, no, I don't have a lot of extensions installed).

I also wish I could turn off some of these new "features", like when I open a new tab, then am forced to wait a few seconds while it generates thumbnails of the last nine web pages I visited, to decorate the background of the new tab. My "home page" is set to "about:blank"! That is what it should be using for the new tab. I don't need to see tiny versions of the last nine web sites I visited!

Wow...I use Firefox and when I open a new tab it is blank...just as I set it in the control panel. Even if I change it to open as my homepage it doesn't load any thumbnails that aren't currently on the page. Sounds like you have something else at play.

Lonnie - that little pest of a problem is caused by Google Tool bar.

On the Google Tool bar click the little "wrench" icon on the right, and then unclick the "Enable The Google new Tab Page".

You should be good to go! ;)

Nice find, Chris..

These days, I'm pretty hot on making sure that none of these "sponsor" programs are installed when I install other software. They're invariably bad.

Google is bad, Yahoo is worse.
