I think this is our only option. My biggest problem right now is the logistics. If I had the time and a reliable car, I'd already be on the road to your house. But, my car needs new tires and struts, as I've already mentioned. I've been dragging my heels on getting that done and I barely trust it to get me to work and back right now, let alone driving across three states. Even if I took it into the shop right now to get that little problem fixed, I still have to go back to work tonight, where I'm stuck for the next five days... I hate this fracking job...

Please, let me know if Zoe doesn't get accepted at HWAC, and then we'll see what happens...

We talk and text daily. She's fine and her mother is coming along well. She's back at home and is getting out some. Heather isn't able to get on the computer much as her father is using it for lesson plans and stuff. She's likely coming home Saturday.

Seriously? I'd be terribly tempted to ask them that IF they choose a date that you don't already have booked, that they put down a non-refundable, non-reschedulable retainer. They change it again, they lose it. Otherwise, you're not confirmed and are free to make plans (or the lack of plans) as you wish. JMO, but if you have a rapport with them, that's easier said than done.

I would have lost may patience by now and just told them to find someone else, even at the risk of alienating family, but that's just me. I like the idea of getting money up front. That might spur them to make a firm decision about a date, especially if there was the prospect of losing several hundred dollars.
