It was going to be between that and the Panasonic GH1, and since the 7D can shoot 24p he wants to get that so he can use all my lenses.

Its a camera what else is there to know, i did the same when the 5d came out a few years back. you got to remeber that the rants on this forum about focus speeds and pixel peeping - really has no relevant factor in real life but its fun to look at if that is of ones interest.
