good enough 20D is my minimum. but sadly i never registered it, and from what i understand i have to register before a certain date.

Send it in, and see what happens. It may take a little work to get it but it's not your fault that when you registerd it, that it wasn't properly entered in their records, lol

i just called adorama and was also told mine was shipping today ordered on the 25th.

They do seem to be slow updating the order status on their web site. Yesterday I sent an email to cancel some film that had been out of stock for over a month. Didn't update on the web order status until after 6PM EDT even though I had received the confirmation email before noon.

I can't tell anything from my bank account, it's a business credit card with no preset limit, I never see authorizations on it. I placed my order on 9/12 so from what I'm seeing I should be good to go today.

Yeah I expect I will not see an order status changed until late tonight or tomorrow. Have not received an email yet, but again, that is probably tied in with their order status system, and when a tracking number gets assigned then it generates an email. Regardless, I'm taking the CS reps word and hoping I will have it for the weekend!

I think this thread just spammed adorama's customer service phone lines. I called them just now and it took me a couple minutes just to get through to assess the status of my order on 09/17. Needless to say my order is being shipped as we speak. It looks like almost everyone's shipments are being shipped today.

Spammed? Somehow the definition of spam has really morphed. After all you did business with them for at least $1699.

Maybe overwhelmed would be a better word. I chose the less congested route and dropped them an email. They're really good at quickly responding to emails.

Yep, I gave them my order number and the first thing they said was "your order is shipping today"

Helen Oster is probably as relived as anyone, now she can stop getting all the "where's my camera" questions

I broke down an preordered from Amazon and Adorama on October 3. Amazon is now telling me it will ship November 2 - 6, and upgraded my shipping to 1 Day shipping. Time to cancel my Adorama order (sorry Helen).

We have the bodies, well, we did 'til we packed and put them back onto a truck. I'm told no kits. But who knows in this crazy world. They could be sitting in a box under my desk and nobody would bother telling me..........

This means I will have mine on Thursday. Getting the camera is good but this really sucks:

so wait, all the people who say they called in and it's shipping, is this correct to say (directed at you folks) that you ordered the body only and NOT the kit?

Yeah, the weather here looks the same for Thursday. At least the weekend is shaping up nicely. Have two outdoor portrait shoots and a hockey game this weekend. The 7D will sure get a run for its money this weekend!

Edit: And yes Ria, ordered body only.

Yep, I got the body only. Did'nt need or want the kit lens.
