Here is a little guy I took pictures of during my recent trip to French Guiana. Perhaps one of the most feared snakes of these regions.

I assume it's pretty venomous, I am not usually frightened by snakes but I wouldn't want to step on that thing. By the shape of its lower jaw I think it might have really BIG fangs.

I quite honestly almost stepped on it, then it went and crawled underneath that log, I was very lucky to see it at the last minute. 6D & 70D
