Hello,

I stumbled on this site when doing a google search for some specific terms, and after reading a few posts decided i'd join up and see what it's all about.

I'm 31, an American ex-pat originally from Oregon but now living in Tasmania, Australia. I'm a pro shooter, doing mostly Weddings, Kids, and i do Triathlon photography for triathlonphotos.com and triathlon australia during triathlon season.

Glad to be here!

~Paul

Paul, welcome! Tell us a little about your gear and post a few shots when you can! I hope you go to the Wedding forum and see the work there. It's a fun group.

Thanks for warm welcome!

I'm a Canon guy, I use a 40d and a 5d mkii as a backup (yes, as a backup...i find the autofocus maddeningly far too slow and it hunts in low light. I've missed too many shots with it waiting for it to lock on to something to use it consistently.) But i digress:

My main lenses are: 70-200 f/2.8 L, 24-70 f/2.8 L, 85 f/1.8, 50 f/1.4, 35 f/2, and a sigma 10-20. I have several others that get occasional use, like a 70-200 f/4 that I use doing triathlons in bright daylight.

I use LR2 and CS3 to process my images.

Funny, I use the 5D2 always and the 40D is my backup! I also shoot with the 24-70 and 70-200 2.8 IS mostly, but I shoot events and landscapes. The 5D2 is what I take with me and I like using it for everything but sports.

I grew up in Eugene, went to High School in Junction City, and went to College at the U of O.

I've been down under now about 5 years. I officially opened my business about 16 months ago, when I realized that I could make money doing what I loved!
