Is anyone here planning to be in Vermont or New Hampshire for fall foliage season?

Where are you staying? I am late in making my plans and most B & B are booked solid. Any suggestion as to where to stay during the second week of October?

I like central Vermont - Woodstock, Warren etc and northern New Hampshire in near The Kancamagus Highway.

Was it a rainy summer? I am really looking forward to a brilliant fall.

It was an EXTREMELY rainy summer up here! There are a couple B&B's in Bethel, VT (small time shops with no websites) that might have openings, and are 15 minutes north of Woodstock that are less well known.

I was told a rainy summer means brilliant reds and generally a great fall foliage.

As you drive around get the names of some of these lesser know B & B and I will get the phone numbers. I would like to visit the 2nd week of October.

I'll be there, staying with friends, 9/25/09 through 9/30/09 and will take a lot of shots, hopefully some good enough to post for everyone.
