Well, finally did it.. I got my first dslr and after months of researching/reading/practicing I finally shot my first wedding on August 1, 2009. I was the main photographer and my older brother and my twin helped me out as well..

The reason why I'm only posting one shot is because I believe we got some pretty decent shots for just being our first time. Its not too easy to pick 8 pictures..

Here's the link http://www.photodex.com …viewshow?fl=3129443&alb=0 (external link)

Really quick, one can also view it on full screen but for some reason when i uploaded it to the internet the quality isn't as good. :( It isnt bad though

We are looking for thoughts and opinions on the pics and even the slideshow.. We barely just purchased the slideshow software so I'm sure there's a lot more to learn. We're also looking for things we could do better next time. I am here to learn and also, if anyone has questions I am here to share my experience. enjoy;)

Edit: well here are a quick 8. (Scroll down to see the rest) I purposely didnt post some of my favorite ones on here. People are welcome to critique these ones. Im here to learn

I think you made a big mistake in purchasing slide show software that makes you use their engine to view it. Most people are going to turn away when they see they have to install something.. and some people are so computer illiterate they won't even understand what is going on. there are tons of ways to create slide shows.. and a lot of them are free. also when you create a slide show don't go overboard on the effects. it was a bit difficult to really see the pictures in their full light..

that being said the pictures looked good

Joel,

I didn't have time to view the whole show, but from what I saw... those were fantastic. Your work looks like the product of a seasoned photographer... not a first timer. VERy well done!
You should really post 8 photos (I know.... I always have a hard time choosing when I post)...there are so many people on here that won't even click a link to photos, let alone view a slideshow... therefore, you aren't going to get a lot of response from this post.... it'd be a pity for others not to see your talent.

Excellent photos for a first wedding. Well done. Your clients should be very happy with the photos.

I installed the Photodex plug-in. I have used photodex before so I know it is very good presentation software.

I don't think this shot of the feet that U have attached to this thread is a good representation of your work. Change it. Choose a shot that will make people look at the rest of your shots.

Keep using producer! This slideshow software is used by the top wedding photographer Mark Ridout and others in the business. If you use producer, you have the option to create flash videos for posting to your own site, or you can easily convert the end production to .mp4 using handbrake for posting to other video sharing sites, and it does have an option to post to you tube. You can also output to blu ray, I recently did my first blu ray production, and on a high-def display, it looks like film, so keep up with it.

I agree with the others, the photo of the feet is not the best representation of your work. You did really well (watched a good part of the show on photodex's sharing site). I'm so thrilled for you after all that planning, you did your first job. That must have been so stressful for you, but you did really very nice.

First off thank you.. ha ha and i know about the feet shot .. there was a reason why i posted that picture though... I wanted to keep the whole "marines" a mystery.. :)

Thanks pigtailpat. Yes it kinda was a lil stressful.. There was a time where i would go online and my goal was to learn something new for the day and practice it if i could.

No....take off the slideshow. I have cable and I've downloaded movies faster. Not exactly but still. I saw the Marine uniform and left the page alone for awhile or else I would have been like many others I'm sure and just left. Thank goodness for tabs.
