Does anyone know where I can get any users info on the canon EF 200mm 1:1.8L ? owners manual etc?
also how many of my canon dslrs will it work with?

Rebel XTi on the way ( thanks to an auction site )
20 D ( My favorite smaller camera EVER)
1 D mark III
and soon to add a 1ds mark III....

I'm hoping it'll work with all of them, but i dont know anything about it other than I picked it up with the following things..

canon ef 135mm f2.8
canon macro ef 100mm f2.8
canon ef 25 ext. tube
3 tamron 2x af teleconverters.
canon 1.4x extender
canon 2x extender

picked em all up at a yard sale for super cheap.... all seem to be in great shape, no visible scratches or damage to anything other than light normal wear.....
sweet old lady had em.........I offered her quite a bit more for them, and she was just like oh, good somebody to use these things...
If they will work with my stuff I'll take a letter to her with some more $ to her and just kinda knock hand her the enveope and dash....

I'll give you $400 for it. You can double your money right now. All that stuff is old anyway.

I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt.

Hell, it's my ongoing dream to walk into an estate sale or a pawn shop and find $20K worth of gear that no one else seems to want and I walk away with it for a song.

Certainly I'm not the only one who's wished this, am I ?

Seriously, I would just sell that 200mm lens. If you don't know what it is, you would be better off having the 2500-3000 in cash. It is a pretty specialized lens.

135mm f2.8 is pretty good, but long for a crop. I'd sell it for $250-300

100mm macro is awesome, keep it. Extension tube 25mm will let you take that lens greater than 1:1, so that might be cool to have.

Sell all but 1 or 2 of the TCs if you need em. No need having that many.

So basically you will get a macro lens for negative $3500 when you are done.

I too am willing to accept with a little skepticism...

I can't find the 'this thread is worthless without pics' emoticon :p
