I was walking through the bird sanctuary here at home and around the corner ran right into this friendly girl and her young, she stood about 3 feet away from me as we both were stunned for a moment. She walked just past me touching my clothing as she passed and turned around for this photo, then she came back and I looked at her leg to find she must have stepped on a porcupine. after that she walked accross the bridge jumped the fence and stood there for the last photo. What do you think? Sorry about the poor quality but it is much richer and more detailed, its due to this websites conversion.

And this is the third one. The conversion is horrible when attaching files and loses so much color. Not vary happy with it.

Nice captures!
I know it looks horrible but she will probably be just fine.
Whitetail Deer have an amazing ability to survive and overcome injury.

While the quills are a nuisance for her they are not going to be debilitating. Being in her lower foreleg her body should be able to deal with them with out much problem. In any event it is part of nature, which to man anyway, seems to be cruel, but is not really. it is just every day life. She excepts it and so should we. Nice subject matter for the shot. *
