I'm having a bad day. I ordered a Tamron 28-75/2.8 that was on back oreder from www.uniquephoto.com (external link) and they said it would be getting to them by today. Well I found out today that it won't be in their hands until 3-4 weeks from now. Being as they already charged my credit card and I payed it off, I'm looking to buy another lens. I would like the Tamron, but I'm too impatient to wait a month. I was looking at the Sigma 24-70/2.8. I would like to see some sample shots. Anything else worth looking into, or should I wait it out?

I also found out that my video card and dvd burner that was scheduled for today's arrival won't show up until Monday.

Wait for the Tamron - great lens. In the long run wouldn't you rather have a great lens?

I may be violating a thread rule, but I've had a post up for two days in the Marketplace forum selling my 3 month old Tamron.

It's in mint condition with hood, caps, original box etc.

Couple of feelers so far but no takers. :-\

Good luck on your search if you choose to stick with brand new.
