Also posted this in the HDR section, but I thought that those of you who are interested in macro might give me valuable C&C. :)

nice angle, I guess there could be a use for this technique in high contrast subjects like this - presume no flash used then?

Erm... my 'setup' is a clamp holding the stick with the mantis on hooked onto a chair which is placed on my trampoline for height - I then lay beside the trampoline and take the shots underneath it all, with pure sky as a backdrop. Lol, it's really no 'setup', just my 450D (Xti Rebel?), Tamron 70-300 Tele-Macro lens, and a couple of wacky ideas. :p
