Evening

This is my first post with the new 17-40 lens. OH MY GOD, how wide???;)

This shot is cropped too, taken on the 5D. Leeds Castle in Kent is your typical castle on a moat, its just stunning.

Your thoughts on the image are appreciated.

Cheers

The sky doesn't look right being that murky brown/yellow colour. It should still be blue so whatever you did to change that I'd take it out. You can add more yellow/orange to the sky colour, but keep it a shade of blue otherwise it doesn't fit.

THe foreground interest could be been included better I think. Right now it's just barely there and it slopes out of frame, so it's not even. If it was more level with the rest of the horizontal lines in the image that would have been better, but also I would have moved closer to the grass and made it a more prominent feature.

The exposure looks alright and well controlled.

I like the shot, with the exception of the sky, I would change the colour, but the composition is nicely framed, all a matter of taste :)

Congrats on the new lens Julian. I would lilke to see some pics when the moat is completely still. That way you can get a nice reflection.
