my 580ex is stuck in master mode and i suspect that the selector switch to change between ordinary on camera flash,master mode and slave mode has gone bad
is this device from flash zebra likely to be of any help

I could be wrong, but I didn't think it had the switch in the lower part.

I thought the above was just mounting the 1/8" jack in the shoe area...
