I like it but, maybe a tad lighter on the lower half of the face?

There's a bit too much detail lost in the main character's face for me. The creases in his skin should be a key point, to me at least.

The posterization on the near character's face kills it for me. It's just too much. I know it's what you intended to do, but for me it just doesn't work. Good concept, good composition. I'd just lay off the posterization.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Thank you for your thoughts, scrumpy.

Thank you for your suggestions, cheggy.

The skin texture and selective lighting were my main objectives. I am undecided about the posterization effect (because it ventured more towards graphic arts rather than pure photography), but I went with it anyway because it intensified the skin texture.

Thanks for your comments, Flo. I had some second thoughts about the sepia and did b/w version, but I wanted to get comments about the sepia version. I think that, traditionally, sepia toned images are lower contrast.

Thanks for your excellent comments, Tom. I was apprehensive about using some of the Photoshop effects.

Could you post a version of this image with the same sepia effects, but with a lesser degree of posterization? I'd be interested to see how that would look.
