Wolves are beautiful animals. The state of Idaho just started allowing hunting of wolves, and the first one was shot this week. :(

Wow, really? People really do get the wrong impression with wolves as they are quite scared of humans and have no intentions of harming them. Up here they've been trying to track down why the wolves and coyotes are breeding in some areas and identifying this new type.

They kill them because of the danger to livestock, I guess, and some people just like killing things.
