Could someone share some "people" photos?? All the photos I've seen here are amazing and very interesting. Taking photos of people might be boring for some of you, but I take photos of my kiddos frequently and was just looking for ideas.

I haven't visited this thread in a long time, glad it's going strong. Here's some people photos I took with the SX20:

I've developed a liking for night time photography, especially long exposure takes. Unfortunately, can only do 15 sec shutter delays at the moment, but hopefully CHDK should solve that. Anyway, here are a few good one's I've managed.

Please feel free to comment, would love to hear from you.

Do you have a pic of the 1st one with like 10 seconds instead of 15 seconds.

The image just needs a slight adjustment in post processing. It cleans up fine.

Woolbur/Stargazer,

None of the pictures that have been post are processed (except for resizing), they are all strictly SOOC. Frankly, I don't know enough about PP to attempt it (frankly find it intimidating). Can any one of you perhaps do some tweaking to it to illustrate what kind of PP would work in this case? The first photo (of the Marina) was taken at a shutter delay of 5 sec, not 15, and I don't have another picture that is of a different setting (maybe one at a lower ISO but that didn't turn out too well).

If you go up to the user CP in the toolbar and turn on image editing permission in the edit profile tab...I'll be glad to share a possible edit.

Here is one option....Brought the levels down 2 full stops.

By the way....that is a very cool location for a photo....I would continue to take shots from there....and just experiment with your settings. The EXIF data shows that shot was 5 seconds at f/3.5 @ ISO 200. Try 5 seconds at f/5.6 @ ISO 100

Dan, impressive...!

Makes the picture look remarkably better. May I ask what you did (adjust contrast/brightness?) and where (photoshop? Picasa?). Also, what do you mean by "brought the levels down 2 full stops". Apologies if I sound like a newbie..I am :)

P.S. this location is the Dubai Marina - wonderfully scenic place for photography. I did take an ISO 100 shot as well, just don't have it with me at the moment, will post it later.
