Hello Fellow Photographers,
I've been looking through the EOS forums and it seems that no one has posted the link to Canon's official videos describing the new features of the 7D. I watched the videos myself and they answered a lot of the questions I had, so hopefully they will do the same for you.

You can find the videos here:
http://www.usa.canon.com …ArticleAct&articleID=3066 (external link)

There are three posted at the moment but the word is that there will be another five videos posted soon describing the other feature sets.

Enjoy!

Seconded, they're raising attention to it quite a bit, i like it, i think its good to see Canon finally PR blitzing when they've been a bit quiet and understated compared to Nikon

I have a feeling that this camera is going to be pretty revolutionary. Basically what Canon has done is taken all the pro features that you would find in a $4,000 camera and put it into a $1,700 camera. Bad news for Nikon.

Only because Nikon already does that. ;)

I really really REALLY like this camera, and I en certainly going to buy it, to replace my (still beloved) 30D.

But I can't Wait to see what the new 1D series will offer when it is released, if the 7D is this good (well, if it is as good as they claim it is), what will the 1D be?

Well I would assume that if Canon is going to continue to sell the 1D series, they will have to introduce some incredible new features. As it is now, the 7D is just as good if not better than the 1D for less than half the price.

For that reason, I think we can expect to see even more amazing products from Canon in the next few months.

Wow. The focusing and metering systems sound impressive. I think this is going to be a big seller.

What looks like Canon Europe has 6 videos available. You can find them on Youtube if you search for canon 7d.
