Legal section??

I hop around the forums, and often see questions about copyright, legality, or other area where a poster searches for opinions that tend towards a legal nature. Has anyone considered a seperate section (beyond just a sticky) dedicated to legal oriented questions? I realize that the only really reliable answers come from a lawyer you hire, but I think that there are plenty of "There I was" stories of a legal nature out there. There might even be a lawyer or two hanging around. It could also be a gathering place for getting a feeling for legal issues in different countries too, since this such an international forum . . .

Thoughts, anyone?? Any Monitors with with a cent or two of comment??

How about a sticky that just says "consult your local attorney".

Not sure I would want to run a business on web forum legal advice.

I agree, but there are plenty of general questions that fall into a quasi-legal area. As I mentioned, even if it is just a "been-there, done-that" war story section about a legal issue, it might be nice to have them in a single place.

Again, just throwing it out for ideas and comments . . .

There are some societies in the world that are quite litigious.

Some idiot from one of these societies might take any lay advice offered and, if all did not go well, might try and sue the owner of the site because they thought the "Legal Forum" was proper legal advice.

Best not to have such a forum.
