Just took my 250,001st image with my 1DmkIII and was wondering how many shutter counts you've got on your favorite camera body.

Why is it multiple choice? ;)

Just bought the new camera a couple of months ago, and little free time to shoot! So... less then 5K snaps.

Around 6,000 on the XSi. It's funny though. There have been a couple outings where in an hour and a half I've taken over 1,000.

I got my 5D in May and have added about 7k to the 2.7k it already had (so the owner said). My previous 40D took me 11 months to reach 7k. Then again, the vast majority of my shooting happens between May and October.

Bohdan - I may be, and probably am, completely wrong.

Got my 1D2 with 112K on the shutter. In the past 2 months I've added about 5k clicks on the shutter.

My 4 month old 5D II has almost 60,000 on it. I got my 1D III last friday and I shot 2,900 so far. My 1Ds II had about 85,000 when I sold it last week.
This damn 1D III takes pictures too fast.

What does it mean if a camera is rated for a certain amount? After that, it might just break every time you hit the shutter? I've gone way over the actuations for my 350D. Is it just waiting to croak?
