Ok, I tried again and it works, I get the cash back in my account almost immediately. Here is how I did it.
Use IE 6 instead of FireFox 3
On MS window instead of Mac OS
I go to Bing.com/cashback instead of /shopping.
Search for Canon 5D
Click on the link with Adorama on the right. It doesn't say 11% on the link.
But while redirect, it shows it is 11%
Then I search for Canon 7D in Adorama and checkout.
Another difference I notice is the checkout screen. This time it is a multi-page check out. The previous unsuccessful time is a one page check out. I think this one page check out is causing the problem.
This worked and it is beyond a doubt the stupidest way to earn 11%! I am not knocking the 11%!!
When you do a search for a Canon 7D, you get a listing down the center that indicates 3%, and you get a 5D listed on the right hand side that simply says Bing Cashback.
If you click on the 7D listing in the center a window opens up saying you will get 3 to 10% during this shopping spree.
If you click on the 5D on the right side a window opens which says that your purchase at Adorama earns 11% cashback.
Enter your email address and the special word and the next window is the Canon 5D.
Do a search for the 7D and add it to your cart.
I went all the way to the final purchase window and nothing pertaining to a cashback appeared.
BEFORE I TAKE THE NEXT STEP, WHEN DOES THE CASHBACK INFORMATION APPEAR?
On the Bing Cashback FAQ it says:
"Don't worry if you don't see the cashback symbol or savings when making a purchase at a store's website. We'll email you after your purchase to confirm your cashback.
Your first time using Bing cashback, we'll ask for your email address so we can tell you how to quickly open your free cashback account."
The last time someone said "don't worry" ...........well that's a long story!!
Who does the cashback come from? MSN or Adorama?
Thanks,
