I was locking one evening and ready to go get ZZ'z, (as you Americans call it...!) and i saw a large brown common snail and as macro is easy with a G6 i just had to get a feww shots in and this was the best one of many i took. With a little cropping and more sharpening this is the end result.

Just remember folks this was just a messing about shot pull it to bits or love it to bits i don't really care.....?

very nice photo!
One nice thing about this subject is that you don't need to use the high speed shutter....

So far, thanks for the replies. The one thing i have learnt recently is how to keep the detail as sharp as possible using the image size/bicubic sharpener with adobe cs2 and then i'm able to save at a low resolution and the result is wht you see, but the original is even far superior........

The G6 so far for me has been outstanding..........

Thanks all, i'm hopeing to get some close-up filters to allow me to get even closer to the macro world, we shall see. Now that we have the spring and summer here in the Uk there will be more bugs to capture.....?

There is an old disused quary near to where i live and there is loads of dragon-flies hanging around the little pond but i don't know about the G6's shutter lag on that kind of subject? They don't normaly hangaround long enough for us budding photographers......MMmmmm.....!!!!

But i will do my best?
