Well free practice costs a tenner and for that you get 30/40mins of DTM action

Sadly the whole of the inside of druids was off limits to the public and with only 30mins of them out there walking round to cool viewpoints kinda was a pain.

So no pans here for a change

Bumped into DaveG enjoying his AAA for this weekend aswell as iirc martin with his big 500 F4

All shots taken with MKIIn + sigma 300 2.8 + 2x TC which I was quite surprised with not loosing to much AF speed etc..

The mercs just look sweet, although dont sound as different to the audis compaired to the last time I went up 2-3years ago.

Stunning shots, looks like a cracking lense and impressive performance matched with the TC. The Mercs are stunning; Audi's look odd to me.

Off for a trip to Brands for the BMCRC meet at the end of the month. Will be the first trip without the wife so looking forward to a good walk around instead of sitting inside Druids. Any good locations? The most reach I'll have is 300 with 1.6 crop factor?

Cheers

Mart

300 with 1.6 = TV flap at clearways (if its not ram jammed)
Tree just past the bridge by druids so you get them on corner exit.
Even through the fence at druids canbe ok, or the mound on corner exit of druids etc..

If druids is open easy to do pans etc etc... Theres a few locations to choose really if you are there all day depending on lighting etc.. I didnt have much time to move around sadly plus main aim was to test the 300 with TC.

Enjoy brands is a nice little place.

You needed to get out of bed earlier! Qualifying was only 30 mins but the DTM cars had free practise from 9 - 11.30 am. 3 hours of DTM was not bad value and with a breakfast in Hailwoods it certainly was a good start to my weekend :D

Fair enough:oops:

Didn't realise they were out yesterday! I have a season ticket so the entry price doesn't register.

Great shots. Couldn't make it this year which was a big disappointment. They closed the centre of Druids off last year as well for the TV crew to pan round with their boom.
