Took this tonight, my first attempt at night photography -- I had to play with the exposure settings, but this was pretty much straight out of the camera -- only a little fill light added. I'm pretty happy with the shot, but C&C is appreciated :o)

I'd love to see it larger. You can post up to 1024 pixels on the longest side.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.

I had to upload it to Flickr in order to post it larger .. I was using a Canon 17-85mm IS. The only PP was some a little fill in light.

I like the shot with the pier in silhouette the best. There's a little too much motion blur in your original shot for my taste.

Thanks.. the first shot was a 2" exposure, so between the ferris wheel, the water and the people moving in the water, it would have been a bit difficult to get the shot without some motion blur.

THE PICTURE LOOKS SO BEAUTIFUL... IT LOOKS BETTER IN SMALL SIZE BECAUSE IT'S HARD TO SEE THE BLURRED.

Thank you, RookieCanon .. funny, I don't have a problem looking at the larger shot, but I appreciate your C&C.

Here's another version of the first shot -- I think this has less blur, but I liked the colors of the first one better.

Looks like your ISO is sky high in all your pictures except the golden sunset one. Stick to 100 ISO--nothing more when doing long exposures at night. You can either have no blur, or tons of blur. In your case, you're shooting at night and I'm assuming you tried to freeze action so you kicked ISO up.

I'd recommend a solid long exposure to get the water nice and dreamy and noise free. You'll also catch the wheel spinning wonderfully in the long exposure.

NOT MY PIC, but here's one where you'll get the idea:
