I am confused by update instructions. I had version 4.00. I downloaded and executed ZB402PATCH.E.EXE. (English version) My browser now says it is version 4.02. (File size was only 417K and not 1.2MB as stated)

What is the CW401PATCH_x.EXE for? Mac users? I find the instructions a little confusing - would appreciate some help!!

Update instructions from Canon:

ZoomBrowser EX 4.00:

Download the appropriate files needed for your preferred language.
First run ZB402PATCH_x.exe by double clicking the file. (Where there is "x" in the filename, insert the appropriate letter for your language)
Follow the instructions as provided by the updater.
First run CW401PATCH_x.EXE by double clicking the file. (Where there is "x" in the filename, insert the appropriate letter for your language)
Follow the instructions as provided by the updater.

I too had a problem with the original CD packed with my S45. ZoomBrowser kept crashing or even refused to load when I double-clicked the icon. Here is the solution:

Go to www.powershot.com/powershot2/customer/zb4patch.html (external link) and you will find crystal-clear instructions on how to download and install the patch. I know. I did it.

Good Luck!

Thanks Amazer. The Canadian Canon website has clear instructions as well.
