Our son posed and I setup the lighting for a recreation of the Twilight movie look with a few PS tweaks.

Great shot! What backdrop did you shoot it on to easily remove it from the picture?

Great shot


Basic body, 50 f1.8, 85 f1.8, 70-200 f2.8 L, 430EX. A 50D or it's replacement in the new year and a revived trigger finger.......would like to also add 135mm f2 near future (maybe)

LylasMama, I used 3 Canon Speedlite flashes, one on the camera bounced off the wall, one to the right of my son and the third one was behind and pointed up towards his head for the rim light. I extracted him then from the original background and did all the Photoshopping to add the BG and other effects.

ammo, I shot him against our white painted wall, (it is used for our projector screen). This made it much easier to remove him from the BG. I still had to paint in some of his flyaway hair strands though. Thanks for asking.

Speaking of the movie, my next task will be to get my son's girlfriend and him to pose for their Twilight movie poster I want to make...they are dressing up as edward/bella for their upcoming Halloween party for kids in the area.
