Hi folks! I just returned from a trip to Brevard, N.C.(Transylvania County). It is home of over 250 waterfalls. This was my first time visiting and after seeing this beautiful place, I didn't want to leave! :( Waaahhh! Even though my trip was a bit short, I did manage to capture some images. Starting with "Looking Glass Falls" which is located in the Pisgah National Forest. It gets better when you go down the walkway but, I'll leave you wanting more since these are only entrance shots! :) C&C appreciated. Thanks!

I can see why you didn't want to leave.
Nice work.

Great shots, Julian. Looking Glass can be tough if the sun is out. I love Brevard, too and can never get to all those waterfalls (but I try).

Thanks Stan. I was there the day before and I couldn't grab a shot due to all the people swimming around and taking pics. I was so frustrated, I left and came back the next morning. I got here at first light and there was no one here other than another fella shooting. :) I will come back and see the other 248 falls before I die. :);)

I like the second composition a lot more. The first seems too heavy on the left and not balanced enough.

The walkway feels overexposed by a third of stop, or thereabouts, and possibly the green foliage around it too.

Really nice looking water fall though, and you exposed that well. Any more comps of this area?

very nice Julian,, beautiful place for sure, but my first impression was that of Mr Green here, looked like your camera metered off the vegetation and over exposed the walkway just a bit, that could be toned down in photoshop pretty easily ;) nice stuff,, no filters here ???

Thanks Green. I personally like the 1st one imho. The reason I love the landscape comp. is all the green lush surrounding the falls. Which is why I like it so much. I wouldn't call it award winning but, more of a fun shot. I do have more here from down below.

Thanks Jim. I am aware of the of the overbrightness of the stairs. I can fix it easily. I used the Lee 4x4 CPL and Singh Ray 3 stop Soft. I think I should've used the 2 stop instead. Anyways, it's an easy fix. No need to go off the deep end over it. ;)
