These are 3 girls I took senior photos for and they wanted some group shots, these girls were amazingly fun. These are some of the "calmer" shots, lol.

That wood pole in the first two is very distracting. Other than that, I like them.

Fun shots, but blown highlights. Don't care for the shed behind the trampoline. Crop, crop, crop!

The Charlie's Angels pose has been done to death. I know I sound too critical, but what a crew to work with--I hope you had them use that fence in the muscle-flexing scene to climb on for some vertical frames.

Canons to the left, Canons to the right,
We hold our L glass toward the light,
Digitizing in a snap reflective glory
That will forever tell our imaged story.

The pole was a problem to me but they wanted to be there.

hahaha! I HATE that pose and I never tell anyone to do it, in fact I cringe when they do it, but as worn out and pathetic as it is, the kids always want it.

As for the blown highlights, believe me those girls will never know what a blown highlight is anyway, nor will they even notice the nasty looking shed in the trampoline shot:lol: They will see THEM and that is all that matters.

These shots were not intended to be anything technically correct or special, just young ladies having a great time.

Very fun shots Kathy. I agree about the pole in the first 2. I thought the Charlie's Angels pose was cute, even though it has been done a lot, they have not done it a lot...

Looks like you had a great time. All are beautiful girls and that certainly makes it easier to get good shots it seems. Regardless, they'll be talking about these shots at their 40 year class reunion and laughing about it then. Great series.

So often photographers complain about many technical aspects of a shot, but photography is about capturing real moments and when photographing people it is about photographing personality and WHO these people are, this photographer did an awesome job at that.

If you think I'm kidding, most Olan Mills type shots are Technically perfect, but don't do anything to show me who is in the picture.

They sure look like they had a lot of fun with this. Kids these days really don't care for those boring look at the camera poses much. Just the parents :) They want to look back at their photos and remember the fun they had.

I agree with you Kathy. If the customer is happy with these then that's all that really matters.

Btw, 3 and 6 are my favorites.

nothing wrong with going out and having some fun and doing fun stuff. Why do photographers view everything to some standard that we think applies. for me, capturing someones personality takes precident over the technical aspects of photography. Kudos to the OP for posting these shots. Oh and the charles angels shots is pretty much an industry standard now. works for formals, works for just about anything whith 3 cute young ladies.
