I heard that I can only use EF lenses and the EF-s lenses don't work on the D60, is this true? And what about the Tamron and Sigma lenses? Will I have a problem using a Tamron or Sigma lense? And one other thing should I get the Tamron 70-300 or the Sigma 70-300 apo?

It is true that the D60 only takes EF lenses. Regarding the Tamron and Sigma lenses, I cannot say...

D60 will not accept EF-S lenses.

There are many EF or EF-compatible lenses out there. It is possible that you might try to buy some old non-Canon lens, and there may be a compatibility problem. However, I believe the compatibility issue was solved within the last few years for the non-Canon manufacturers. Some older Sigmas got upgraded by Sigma to regain compatibility.
